الضُّحٰي

وَٱلضُّحَىٰ

Translation: By the Glorious Morning Light

وَٱلَّيۡلِ إِذَا سَجَىٰ

Translation: And by the Night when it is still

مَا وَدَّعَكَ رَبُّكَ وَمَا قَلَىٰ

Translation: Thy Guardian-Lord hath not forsaken thee, nor is He displeased

وَلَلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ لَّكَ مِنَ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

Translation: And verily the Hereafter will be better for thee than the present

وَلَسَوۡفَ يُعۡطِيكَ رَبُّكَ فَتَرۡضَىٰٓ

Translation: And soon will thy Guardian-Lord give thee (that wherewith) thou shalt be well-pleased

أَلَمۡ يَجِدۡكَ يَتِيمࣰ ا فَـَٔاوَىٰ

Translation: Did He not find thee an orphan and give thee shelter (and care)

وَوَجَدَكَ ضَآلࣰّ ا فَهَدَىٰ

Translation: And He found thee wandering, and He gave thee guidance

وَوَجَدَكَ عَآئِلࣰ ا فَأَغۡنَىٰ

Translation: And He found thee in need, and made thee independent

فَأَمَّا ٱلۡيَتِيمَ فَلَا تَقۡهَرۡ

Translation: Therefore, treat not the orphan with harshness

وَأَمَّا ٱلسَّآئِلَ فَلَا تَنۡهَرۡ

Translation: Nor repulse the petitioner (unheard)

وَأَمَّا بِنِعۡمَةِ رَبِّكَ فَحَدِّثۡ

Translation: But the bounty of the Lord - rehearse and proclaim
