الْاَعْلٰي

سَبِّحِ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّكَ ٱلۡأَعۡلَى

Translation: Glorify the name of thy Guardian-Lord Most High

ٱلَّذِي خَلَقَ فَسَوَّىٰ

Translation: Who hath created, and further, given order and proportion

وَٱلَّذِي قَدَّرَ فَهَدَىٰ

Translation: Who hath ordained laws. And granted guidance

وَٱلَّذِيٓ أَخۡرَجَ ٱلۡمَرۡعَىٰ

Translation: And Who bringeth out the (green and luscious) pasture

فَجَعَلَهُۥ غُثَآءً أَحۡوَىٰ

Translation: And then doth make it (but) swarthy stubble

سَنُقۡرِئُكَ فَلَا تَنسَىٰٓ

Translation: By degrees shall We teach thee to declare (the Message), so thou shalt not forget

إِلَّا مَا شَآءَ ٱللَّهُۚ إِنَّهُۥ يَعۡلَمُ ٱلۡجَهۡرَ وَمَا يَخۡفَىٰ

Translation: Except as Allah wills: For He knoweth what is manifest and what is hidden

وَنُيَسِّرُكَ لِلۡيُسۡرَىٰ

Translation: And We will make it easy for thee (to follow) the simple (Path)

فَذَكِّرۡ إِن نَّفَعَتِ ٱلذِّكۡرَىٰ

Translation: Therefore give admonition in case the admonition profits (the hearer)

سَيَذَّكَّرُ مَن يَخۡشَىٰ

Translation: The admonition will be received by those who fear (Allah)

وَيَتَجَنَّبُهَا ٱلۡأَشۡقَى

Translation: But it will be avoided by those most unfortunate ones

ٱلَّذِي يَصۡلَى ٱلنَّارَ ٱلۡكُبۡرَىٰ

Translation: Who will enter the Great Fire

ثُمَّ لَا يَمُوتُ فِيهَا وَلَا يَحۡيَىٰ

Translation: In which they will then neither die nor live

قَدۡ أَفۡلَحَ مَن تَزَكَّىٰ

Translation: But those will prosper who purify themselves

وَذَكَرَ ٱسۡمَ رَبِّهِۦ فَصَلَّىٰ

Translation: And glorify the name of their Guardian-Lord, and (lift their hearts) in prayer

بَلۡ تُؤۡثِرُونَ ٱلۡحَيَوٰةَ ٱلدُّنۡيَا

Translation: Nay (behold), ye prefer the life of this world

وَٱلۡأٓخِرَةُ خَيۡرࣱ وَأَبۡقَىٰٓ

Translation: But the Hereafter is better and more enduring

إِنَّ هَٰذَا لَفِي ٱلصُّحُفِ ٱلۡأُولَىٰ

Translation: And this is in the Books of the earliest (Revelation)

صُحُفِ إِبۡرَٰهِيمَ وَمُوسَىٰ

Translation: The Books of Abraham and Moses
