بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ

verse 1

وَٱلۡمُرۡسَلَٰتِ عُرۡفࣰ ا

Translation: By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit)

verse 2

فَٱلۡعَٰصِفَٰتِ عَصۡفࣰ ا

Translation: Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts

verse 3

وَٱلنَّٰشِرَٰتِ نَشۡرࣰ ا

Translation: And scatter (things) far and wide

verse 4

فَٱلۡفَٰرِقَٰتِ فَرۡقࣰ ا

Translation: Then separate them, one from another

verse 5

فَٱلۡمُلۡقِيَٰتِ ذِكۡرًا

Translation: Then spread abroad a Message

verse 6

عُذۡرًا أَوۡ نُذۡرًا

Translation: Whether of Justification or of Warning

verse 7

إِنَّمَا تُوعَدُونَ لَوَٰقِعࣱ

Translation: Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass

verse 8

فَإِذَا ٱلنُّجُومُ طُمِسَتۡ

Translation: Then when the stars become dim

verse 9

وَإِذَا ٱلسَّمَآءُ فُرِجَتۡ

Translation: When the heaven is cleft asunder

verse 10

وَإِذَا ٱلۡجِبَالُ نُسِفَتۡ

Translation: When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust

verse 11

وَإِذَا ٱلرُّسُلُ أُقِّتَتۡ

Translation: And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect)

verse 12

لِأَيِّ يَوۡمٍ أُجِّلَتۡ

Translation: For what Day are these (portents) deferred

verse 13

لِيَوۡمِ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ

Translation: For the Day of Sorting out

verse 14

وَمَآ أَدۡرَىٰكَ مَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِ

Translation: And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out

verse 15

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 16

أَلَمۡ نُهۡلِكِ ٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

Translation: Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)

verse 17

ثُمَّ نُتۡبِعُهُمُ ٱلۡأٓخِرِينَ

Translation: So shall We make later (generations) follow them

verse 18

كَذَٰلِكَ نَفۡعَلُ بِٱلۡمُجۡرِمِينَ

Translation: Thus do We deal with men of sin

verse 19

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 20

أَلَمۡ نَخۡلُقكُّم مِّن مَّآءࣲ مَّهِينࣲ

Translation: Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable

verse 21

فَجَعَلۡنَٰهُ فِي قَرَارࣲ مَّكِينٍ

Translation: The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed

verse 22

إِلَىٰ قَدَرࣲ مَّعۡلُومࣲ

Translation: For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)

verse 23

فَقَدَرۡنَا فَنِعۡمَ ٱلۡقَٰدِرُونَ

Translation: For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things)

verse 24

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 25

أَلَمۡ نَجۡعَلِ ٱلۡأَرۡضَ كِفَاتًا

Translation: Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together

verse 26

أَحۡيَآءࣰ وَأَمۡوَٰتࣰ ا

Translation: The living and the dead

verse 27

وَجَعَلۡنَا فِيهَا رَوَٰسِيَ شَٰمِخَٰتࣲ وَأَسۡقَيۡنَٰكُم مَّآءࣰ فُرَاتࣰ ا

Translation: And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)

verse 28

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 29

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ مَا كُنتُم بِهِۦ تُكَذِّبُونَ

Translation: (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false

verse 30

ٱنطَلِقُوٓاْ إِلَىٰ ظِلࣲّ ذِي ثَلَٰثِ شُعَبࣲ

Translation: Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns

verse 31

لَّا ظَلِيلࣲ وَلَا يُغۡنِي مِنَ ٱللَّهَبِ

Translation: (Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze

verse 32

إِنَّهَا تَرۡمِي بِشَرَرࣲ كَٱلۡقَصۡرِ

Translation: Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts

verse 33

كَأَنَّهُۥ جِمَٰلَتࣱ صُفۡرࣱ

Translation: As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)

verse 34

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 35

هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ لَا يَنطِقُونَ

Translation: That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak

verse 36

وَلَا يُؤۡذَنُ لَهُمۡ فَيَعۡتَذِرُونَ

Translation: Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas

verse 37

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 38

هَٰذَا يَوۡمُ ٱلۡفَصۡلِۖ جَمَعۡنَٰكُمۡ وَٱلۡأَوَّلِينَ

Translation: That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)

verse 39

فَإِن كَانَ لَكُمۡ كَيۡدࣱ فَكِيدُونِ

Translation: Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me

verse 40

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 41

إِنَّ ٱلۡمُتَّقِينَ فِي ظِلَٰلࣲ وَعُيُونࣲ

Translation: As to the Righteous, they shall be amidst (cool) shades and springs (of water)

verse 42

وَفَوَٰكِهَ مِمَّا يَشۡتَهُونَ

Translation: And (they shall have) fruits,- all they desire

verse 43

كُلُواْ وَٱشۡرَبُواْ هَنِيٓـَٔۢا بِمَا كُنتُمۡ تَعۡمَلُونَ

Translation: Eat ye and drink ye to your heart's content: for that ye worked (Righteousness)

verse 44

إِنَّا كَذَٰلِكَ نَجۡزِي ٱلۡمُحۡسِنِينَ

Translation: Thus do We certainly reward the Doers of Good

verse 45

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 46

كُلُواْ وَتَمَتَّعُواْ قَلِيلًا إِنَّكُم مُّجۡرِمُونَ

Translation: (O ye unjust!) Eat ye and enjoy yourselves (but) a little while, for that ye are Sinners

verse 47

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 48

وَإِذَا قِيلَ لَهُمُ ٱرۡكَعُواْ لَا يَرۡكَعُونَ

Translation: And when it is said to them, "Prostrate yourselves!" they do not so

verse 49

وَيۡلࣱ يَوۡمَئِذࣲ لِّلۡمُكَذِّبِينَ

Translation: Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth

verse 50

فَبِأَيِّ حَدِيثِۭ بَعۡدَهُۥ يُؤۡمِنُونَ

Translation: Then what Message, after that, will they believe in
